Why We Serve: The Heart Behind Northside Community Center Tallahassee

At The Northside Community Center, everything we do is rooted in a desire to serve and strengthen the growing Northside area of Tallahassee.

Born from the vision of Wildwood Church, our mission began with a simple but powerful question: What does our community truly need?

As Tallahassee’s north side experienced rapid growth, it became clear that while many community centers existed, none served the vibrant neighborhoods north of I-10. In response, we partnered with local agencies, listened to our neighbors, and built more than just a facility—we built a space where people could connect, grow, and thrive together.

Rather than expanding for our own needs, Wildwood Church chose to invest in a place that reflects the values of inclusion, service, and shared purpose.

located on Oak Grove Rd near the intersection of Meridian and Bannerman Rd. The Northside Community Center stands as a beacon for those seeking quality recreational facilities in Tallahassee, diverse community programs, and welcoming event spaces designed with YOU in mind.

This is who we are—a center created for the community, by the community, to meet the needs of today and tomorrow.
